VIENNAFAIR - The International Contemporary Art Fair celebrated its fifth edition at the Messe Wien expo centre this year. A total of 122 galleries, 15,719 visitors (an increase of 1,4%) and more than thousand artists, this is the summary of VIENNAFAIR 2009. Thanks to the patronisation of Erste Bank who supported again galleries from Central, Central-Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, VIENNAFAIR could – with a record participation of 29 galleries from the focus countries - once again impressively confirm its position as art fair in the intersection between East and West.
