VIENNAFAIR - The International Contemporary Art Fair celebrated its fifth edition at the Messe Wien Expo Centre in 2009. A total of 122 galleries, 15,719 visitors (an increase of 1,4%) and more than thousand of artists, this is the resumé of the VIENNAFAIR 2009. Thanks to the patronisation of Erste Bank who supported again galleries from Central, Central-Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, VIENNAFAIR could – with a record participation of 29 galleries from the focus countries - once again impressively confirm its position as art fair at the intersection between East and West.
